FAScIAL STRETCH THERAPY Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fascia?

Fascia is the connective tissue that permeates and envelops all structures of the body, essentially connecting them all together in one web like matrix. Fascia extends from head to toe, front to back, inside to outside without interruption and is the most influential factor affecting your mobility, tissue extensibility and optimal joint range of motion.

What is the difference between a 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute stretch?

30 MINUTE sessions are a great fit if you are looking for just a simple stretch in one particular area, such as your neck, arms or calves.
60 MINUTE sessions will allow your Fascial Stretch Therapist enough time to complete a well-rounded stretch series on both sides of the body for either the upper or lower body – but not both.
90 MINUTE sessions are perfect if you are looking for a full body stretch. The extra 30 minutes will allow the Fascial Stretch Therapist enough time to stretch you from head to toe, leaving you feeling relaxed and free of restrictions.
120 MINUTE sessions are ideal if you are in need of a full body stretch and have a lot of areas within the body that are extremely tight. The 2 hour session gives the Fascial Stretch Therapist enough time to not only work on the entire body, but also allows them to focus on the specific areas that are causing the restrictions. The patient also benefits more, because their nervous system will be able to fully relax, allowing the tissues to release, creating a more effective and long-lasting stretch.

What is Fascial Stretch Therapy™?

FST™ is an extremely effective, pain-free therapy that is performed on a massage-like table by a certified stretch therapist.
The table is equipped with padded straps to help stabilize parts of the body that are not being worked on and the treatment can run anywhere between 30-120mins.

What are the benefits of longer stretches?

All FST™ sessions are beneficial to the body; but a 90 or 120 MINUTE session allows the Fascial Stretch Therapist an increased amount of time to treat the entire body without rushing through the process.

Is FST™ covered under my insurance?

Most, if not all Health Spending/Flexible Benefit Accounts will cover FST™ but unfortunately Traditional Benefits do not as of right now; because of this, we are not able to direct bill, but would be happy to issue an invoice to submit.

Can I combine other health practices with FST™?

FST™ can be combined with other modalities such as chiropractic, physiotherapy, etc. or can be done independently.

Do you direct bill?

Unfortunately traditional benefits do not as of right now; because of this, we are not able to direct bill, but would be happy to issue an invoice to submit.
